TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL
- All classes are subject to minimum numbers. The Centre reserves the right to cancel the classes anytime when minimum numbers are not met and allot a seat in any other available slots.
- The Centre reserves the right to alter the fees, grouping, combination, size, schedule and duration, or to change the teacher of any class.
- The centre reserves the right to combine related adjacent cohorts into one class.
- Parents are advised to drop and pick up their children on time in person for their safety.
- Parents and students of TamilCube Learning Centre should treat the staff and property of the centre with respect. Disciplinary action will be taken by the centre in the case of misconduct by the student.
- The centre may use the students’ photographs, videos, voice, written works and art works in any social platform, website, academic portfolio, printed document and in any promotional platform.
- The centre will take all the necessary precautions to keep the students safe and secure. The centre will not be held responsible for any injury or loss of property or belongings of the students.
- The Centre reserves the right to cancel any lesson, or terminate any class anytime and refund class fees already paid, in unavoidable circumstances.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
- All parents and students should adhere to all the latest safe distancing measures all the time while waiting outside and inside the premises.
- Parents / guardians will be allowed to enter the premises or the classrooms only when it is absolutely necessary.
- A child may be disallowed from entering the premises if found sick.
- Following government advisories, the centre may temporarily stop classroom lessons, and move to live online lessons. In such a situation, any request for immediate withdrawal will not be accepted. The conditions with regards to notice period and refund of deposit will be still applicable.
FEES PAYMENT
- For new students, once the admission is confirmed, before attending the first lesson, all the fees (registration fees, material fees and monthly / term fees) must be paid and payment proof should be submitted.
- Before attending the first lesson of the month, class fees for that month should be paid and payment proof should be submitted online.
- Class Fees as per the Payment Schedule will be collected on a monthly or term basis. Payment can be made by digital payment methods such as SGQR, PayNow, Credit/Debit Card or Online / ATM transfer. When making digital payment, the name of student should be indicated, and payment proof should be submitted.
- Fees must be paid in full as per the payment schedule before the first lesson of every month, failing which a late payment fee of $15 per month will be imposed until paid.
- Any class fees paid will not be refunded at any circumstances. There is strictly no discount or refund or prorating for any missed lessons. Instead, the student may request for make up lesson which will be offered depending on the availability.
- Any overdue payments (including monthly fees and late payment fees) must be cleared within the calendar month. Otherwise, the student will not be allowed to enter the class in the following month.
- Material fees and Registration fees will be collected by the centre. In the event of unenrolment, there is strictly no refund of material fees and registration fees. Any promotion offered on these fees can be availed by a student only one time.
- For all your payments, e-receipts will be send to your registered email address. No printed receipts will be issued. If you do not reveive it within 3 working days, please contact us.
ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCE
- Registrations, including priority registrations, are allowed months before the academic year begins. All the registered students are required to attend the first lesson of the academic year. If a student fails to turn up for the first lesson, the seat will be offered to the next in queue. If the student does not attend the whole month, the student will be un-enrolled from the program; The deposit will be forfeited.
- Parent should inform the centre about student’s absence at least one week before the lesson by filling up an online form. Otherwise, request for compensation lessons will be considered.
- Student attendance for all the lessons is a must, unless for any valid or medical reasons supported by medical certificate.
- There is strictly no discount or refund or prorating for any missed lessons. If there is a valid reason for the absence, and the parent informs the centre in advance, the student may be allowed to take compensation lesson, if available, on a case by case basis.
- If your child is absent for a whole month without any notification in writing and without payment of fees, the student will be un-enrolled from the program; The deposit will be forfeited. If you want to continue, it will be considered as a new registration that requires the payment of registration fees, material fees and deposit again.
- For any lessons cancelled by the centre (due to unavoidable reasons), the student may request for compensation lesson. No discount or refund or prorating of fees will be given.
- No lesson will be conducted on all public holidays. No discount or refund or prorating of fees will be given for these days. The student may request for compensation lesson.
COMPENSATION LESSON
- Presence of student at all the lessons is mandatory. The compensation lesson offered at the request of parent is only complimentary and it is at the discretion of the centre.
- A student may request for a compensation lesson by filling up online form, for absence due to medical or valid reasons only.
- Only those who informed about the absence in advance will be considered for taking compensation lesson.
- The compensation lesson should be taken within the same month or within 4 weeks from the date of absence.
- Not more than two compensation lessons can be taken in and within a month.
- The compensation lesson will be available only at selected centres and online.
- The compensation lesson will be arranged at the regular time slots which are already scheduled.
- If the student is absent for an agreed compensation, no further compensation will be offered.
REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
- Upon enrolment, a refundable deposit will be collected by the centre. It will be refunded within 30 days from the end of notice period, after deducting any overdue payments.
- The deposit will be forfeited if your child fails to take up the reserved place in a class.
- If we do not receive the Notice of Withdrawal by the notice period, the deposit will be forfeited.
- The deposit will be forfeited if your child is absent for a whole month without any notification and without payment of fees.
NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
- At the end of each academic year, the student is given an option for Priority Registration for enrolling into the next level. If there is no intention to continue, the parent must submit Notice of Withdrawal.
- Notice of withdrawal must be received, by filling up the un-enrolment form, at least one full calendar month before the intended date of withdrawal (end of month). Withdrawal is not allowed in the middle of a month.
- During the notice period, you must continue to pay the full monthly fees.
COMMUNICATION
- You are agreeing for the centre to use your mobile number (call and SMS) and the email as the primary source of communication for sending official messages and related promotions.
- Any communication with regards to your child’s studies at Tamilcube should be with Tamilcube HQ only. The teachers are not responsible for this. You can contact Tamilcube HQ through hotlines (a landline and mobile) by calling or sending SMS during our working hours or during your scheduled lesson hours. Please take note of our working hours at the Contact Us page. We do not use Whatsapp.
- The parent must always communicate with the Centre management for any matters related to their child’s education. Any direct communication with the teachers is not allowed.
ONLINE LESSONS
In addition to the terms and conditions above, the following are applicable to online lessons:
- For the best experience, please use a laptop / PC for the lesson.
- Please ensure that you have a strong internet connection.
- Please check your device and Zoom connection at least 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. For any technical issues encountered with zoom connection, internet or wifi, Tamilcube will not be in a position to advise you.
- Parents are advised not to interfere with the lesson all the time.
- Only one connection which is for the enrolled student is allowed. Anyone other than the enrolled student is not allowed to participate in the lesson.
- Weekly lesson materials for online lessons will be issued every week as downloadable PDF from Tamilcube Portal which requires the parent to create a free account. If necessary, the parent should print the material and use for the lesson. Centre will not issue any printed material or send it through email.
- Homework submission will be done through Zoom during the lesson. The marked homework will be returned to the student through Zoom during the lesson. Submission of homework through any other channels is not accepted.
- Online lessons may be recorded for administrative purpose.
ONE-TO-ONE CLASSES (ONLINE / CLASSROOM) AND WORKSHOPS
In addition to the terms and conditions above, the following are applicable to one-to-one classes:
- The day and time for the class must be confirmed in advance before the start of the course, and should be adhered to until the end of the course. Any request for change of time or day for any specific lesson should be submitted at least 1 week in advance. It will be agreed or rejected depending upon resource availabilty.
- The lessons will start and end on time as scheduled. Punctuality is a must. Any last-minute change will not be accepted. If a student does not turn up within 30 minutes, the lesson will end, and the lesson is considered as taken. Discount or refund or prorating of fees or compensation lesson will not be given for that lesson.
- Even if a student is late for the lesson, the lesson will end at the scheduled time. The lesson time will not be extended to compensate for the late coming.
- There will not be any compensation lesson offered for any missed lessons. If the student informs the centre about absence, at least one week before, the centre will consider arranging compensation lesson only if any slot is available.
- Parent should avoid any interruption during the lesson. If any discussion with the teacher is required, it can be had in the beginning or near the end of the lesson within the scheduled lesson time-slot.
The centre reserves the right to change or alter any of the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
